Laughter the best medicine

The other day while channel surfing I (unfortunately) happened to chance upon a show by the name "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" - had heard a lot abt this one but well somehow it failed to even register a small smile. Now now dont get me wrong i really do enjoy humorous shows like Friends, Sienfeld, Yes Dear, The 70's Show etc. etc. and hey I do have a good sense of humor but this show somehow (and with appologies to the Fan club) registered to be a tragedy sorts rather than a comedy one. What do i mean by that - well am sure if u were watchin this show u must noticed that most of the jokes were based on the follies commited by fellow beings - more so the language used quite a no. of times crosses the permissible limits of decency of prime time television.

Which leads me to think what has the world come to. Do we seriously enjoy someone else's pain or mistakes. Sarcasm - now that is a different thing - but this - it appears to be more of a sadist behavior - whatever happened to the light minded, humorous comedy of Friends, how long would it take for us to realise that it is more than laughing at others - it is laughing with them.
